But at the same time, it also inevitably has some defects: such as not waterproof, easy to rot, easy to deform, short service life, etc. Adding a layer of fiberglass sheet as a protective layer on its surface can be used to prevent water, moisture, and deformation, and the surface is smoother and flatter.
How to choose the type of fiberglass sheets
Currently, most box truck manufacturers choose FRP/GRP (glass fiber reinforced sheet) as the skin material for truck panels. FRP is lightweight, waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and has a smooth surface, making it an ideal material for plywood protection.
