Marine plywood is high-quality hardwood plywood made of waterproof glue. It is waterproof, lightweight and strong. It is made of wood that is peeled into veneer and coated with glue, then laminated horizontally and vertically, and then hot-pressed at high temperature to form a three-layer or multi-layer board.
Marine Plywood and Common Plywood
- It is made of waterproof glue. The glue used in ordinary plywood is not waterproof and will crack and deform when exposed to moisture or water, but marine plywood will not.
- Marine plywood is made of veneer from hardwood. They are stronger, harder and finer in texture than softwood. They have higher bending strength and compressive strength.
- The surface of marine plywood is smoother and has no obvious defects such as knots, cracks, delamination, etc.
