Food trailers are mobile catering facilities that integrate kitchen equipment and catering services in trailers. They can provide hamburgers, pizza, ice cream, fried chicken, French fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps, desserts, fruits and other foods to the public at different locations.
CKD/SKD/CBU Food Tailer Builder
TOPOLO provides a range of reliable solutions for building catering food trailers. We provide customized services for food trailers, including materials, sizes, colors, accessories, chassis and other configurations. TOPOLO solutions can bring many benefits to trailer manufacturers and dealers, including improving production efficiency, reducing manufacturing costs, and enabling them to meet market challenges. These trailers are delivered to our clients in the form of CKD (completely knocked down), SKD (semi-knocked down), CBU (Completely Built-Up).
(NOTE: We do not provide interior equipment for food trailers.)

Modular Design Trailer Bodies
TOPOLO’s food trailer design fully considers the structural firmness and ease of use. The trailer body is composed of multiple panels, and its significant advantage is that it can be assembled quickly and easily. These panels are connected by metal profiles, fixed with bolts, and sealed with glue. For food trailer manufacturers, this modular design reduces the difficulty of workers’ operation and greatly improves assembly efficiency. For individual users, it is easier to modify the food trailer by themselves. Our team of engineers will develop a practical design plan for you.

Customizable Size
Clients customize the size of the trailer box body according to usage scenarios, functional requirements, and local road regulations.
| Type | Length | Width | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small Food Trailer | 2.5m – 4m | 1.5m – 2.2m | 2.2m – 2.8m |
| Medium Food Trailer | 4m – 6m | 2m – 2.5m | 2.5m – 3.2m |
| Large Food Trailer | 6m – 8m+ | 2.3m – 3m | 3m – 3.5m |
Diverse Construction Materials
We provide sandwich panels with FRP, aluminum and CFRT (continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic) skins for building trailer boxes. According to the different needs of users for trailer performance, different core materials (insulation foam, honeycomb core, plywood, etc.) can be selected to press the trailer box panels.

Panel Types

Foam core series panels
- Skin material: FRP, CFRT, aluminum.
- Core material: Extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyurethane (PU), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), PVC (polyvinyl chloride).
- Performance: Thermal insulation, lightweight.

Honeycomb core series panels
- Skin material: FRP, CFRT.
- Core material: Polypropylene honeycomb.
- Performance: Lightweight and durable.

Plywood core series panels
- Skin material: FRP, CFRT.
- Core material: Plywood (poplar, pine, birch, eucalyptus), etc.
- Performance: High strength.
Flexible Chassis System
The chassis carries the core functions of the vehicle body, equipment, and food, and also determines the trailer’s mobility, stability, and safety.

Chassis Frame
The selection of chassis frame materials must take into account factors such as load-bearing capacity, corrosion resistance, lightness, and cost. We provide trailer chassis with steel and aluminum structures.
| Material | Advantages | Disadvantages |
| Ordinary Carbon Steel (Q235) | Low cost, easy to process, suitable for moderate load requirements | Weak corrosion resistance, requires regular maintenance (painting/galvanizing) |
| Low-Alloy High-Strength Steel (Q345) | High strength, light weight, good fatigue resistance, long service life | Still requires anti-corrosion maintenance, higher cost than ordinary carbon steel |
| Stainless Steel (304/201) | Extremely strong corrosion resistance, clean appearance, low maintenance cost | High cost, slightly heavy weight, relatively high processing difficulty |
| Aluminum Alloy (6061/5052) | Extremely light weight, reduces traction energy consumption, simple maintenance | Lower strength than steel, complex welding process, prone to deformation after collision and difficult to repair |
Tires and Wheels
- Tires are made of high-performance synthetic rubber with good high and low temperature resistance and wear resistance.
- Steel or aluminum alloy wheels are available.
| Type | Size | Single tire load range |
|---|---|---|
| Single axle | ST175/80R13, 205/75R15 | 500-800kg |
| Double axle trailer | ST225/75R16, 235/80R16 | 800-1200kg |
| Three-axle trailer | ST235/80R17.5, 245/75R19.5 | 1200-2000kg |
