In modern truck manufacturing, aluminum profiles are widely used. With the growing emphasis on lightweighting and modular design, aluminum extrusion profiles (Aluminum Extrusion Profiles) have become indispensable as structural connectors and load-bearing components in dry cargo trucks, refrigerated trucks, and wing-body trucks.

Aluminum profiles are produced through the extrusion forming process, offering advantages such as lightweight, corrosion resistance, easy machinability, and recyclability. They can be assembled using screws, rivets, or adhesives, ensuring both structural strength and ease of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) assembly. The modular design of profiles allows flexibility for different truck body structures and functional parts.

Commom Application of Aluminum Profiles

Frame Profiles

  • Application: Form the main load-bearing framework of the cargo body, including front frame, rear frame, top frame, and bottom frame.
  • Features: Sections are usually rectangular, channel-shaped, or custom-designed to enhance rigidity and torsional resistance.
  • Common Alloys: 6061-T6 / 6063-T5, providing a balance of strength and weldability.

Corner & Side Posts

  • Application: Vertical support members of the cargo body, connecting front/rear frames and side panels.
  • Features: Must bear vertical loads and impact forces.
  • Structure: Often includes slots for inserting composite panels, seals, or decorative trims to ensure airtightness and waterproofing.

Floor Beams / Floor Support Beams

  • Application: Connect the chassis and support floor panels.
  • Features: Often designed with hollow sections or reinforcing ribs to reduce weight while maintaining strength.

Panel Joint Profiles

  • Application: Connect FRP panels, aluminum sheets, or composite panels.
  • Types: Common types include H, U, L, and Z shapes.
  • Features: Provide structural fixation, sealing, waterproofing, and aesthetic finishing; facilitate quick assembly and maintenance.

Corner Profiles & Edge Trim

  • Application: Used at external corners, edges, or door frame corners for protection and decoration.
  • Features: Prevent scratches and impacts, improve sealing performance, and enhance the visual flow of the truck body.

Door Frame Profiles

  • Application: Frame structures for rear doors and side doors.
  • Accessories: Often used with stainless steel hinges, locks, and sealing strips.
  • Advantages: Stable structure, good sealing performance, smooth operation, and strong weather resistance.
